Version 1.30
  • Added context menu to the Call Log. Right-click on a call to access the menu.
  • Now you can block future calls from a number with just one click. Right-click on a number and select 'Block'. The number will be added to the Privacy Manager and configured to be zapped.
  • Added online reverse lookup. Right-click on a call and select 'Online Lookup' to get more information about a caller at www.phonetray.net.
  • Fixed a problem with monitor not waking up on Vista.
  • Now PhoneTray removes extra 9 from incoming numbers.
  • 'Fix CID' and 'Restore CID' now works on Windows Vista without running PhoneTray as Administrator.
  • Fixed a problem with zapping on some voice modems with incorrect drivers.

  • Added zapping by name. Now you can configure PhoneTray to zap incoming calls based on the caller's name from Caller ID.
  • Added an option to enable quiet time without answering calls and playing quiet time message.

  • Added option to choose a monitor for Fullscreen Alert on computers with more than one monitor.
  • Fixed memory leak introduced in version 1.24.
  • Now when changing data folder on the Settings screen, PhoneTray checks if new folder already has Call Log and Privacy Manager data and asks if the data from the new folder have to be loaded.

  • Added 'new calls' indicator to the tray icon. Tray icon lights up until clicked when new calls are received.
  • Fullscreen alert is translucent now. You can change the transparency of alert text and background on the Fullscreen Alert Settings screen.

  • Fixed a problem with missing function in Shell32.dll that prevented PhoneTray from working on some Windows 98 systems.

  • Now you can add a note to a call. PhoneTray automatically adds 'Zapped' note to zapped calls.
  • Added an option to select which lines (modems) PhoneTray should monitor.

  • Now you can assign a name to a number without adding a number to the Privacy Manager.
  • Added fullscreen alert customization. Now you can select text and background colors, font size and alert position.

  • Quiet time selection is more flexible now.
  • Added an option to select a folder where call log and other data are stored. Default folder has been changed to My Computer -> Shared Documents -> PhoneTray to make it accessible over the network.
  • Fixed a problem with deactivating screen saver on some systems.
  • Fixed wrong sort order in call log if date format is DD-MM-YYYY (Canada, Austalia etc.)
  • Fixed fullscreen alert lockup on some Windows 98/ME systems.
Version 1.20
  • Added Windows 98 and Windows ME support.
  • Now you can assign names to your frequent callers in the Privacy Manager. The name you assign will be displayed and announced instead of Caller ID info. For example you can see and hear "Mother's cell" instead of 555-1234.
  • Privacy Manager settings including names and numbers are stored in a standard CSV file now and can be imported from or exported to other programs using Microsoft Excel.
  • Added a button that allows to quickly add numbers from the Call Log to the Privacy Manager.
  • Added full screen alert to see who's calling from a distance.
  • Added incoming call pop-up which can be used instead of tray balloon or in addition to a balloon.
  • Now you can select what to announce: name, number or both.
  • Added checkbox on the Settings page to quickly disable all voice announcements.
  • Added an option to mark the numbers that should ring during the quiet time.
  • PhoneTray now supports multiple local area codes.
  • Added an option to remove local area code from incoming numbers.
  • Switched to another installer, setup is much smaller now.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause PhoneTray to hang when zapping.
  • Fixed an issue with Windows Installer error on Windows startup.

  • Improved voice announcements. PhoneTray will try to pronounce difficult names instead of spelling them. Non-US numbers will be announced correctly in this version.
  • Added support for 8-digit local numbers and 0 dialing prefix used in some countries including Argentina, Chile, Turkey and Indonesia.
  • Added button to edit numbers in the Privacy Manager.
  • PhoneTray saves Call Log filter and sort settings now.
  • PhoneTray wasn't releasing a line after zapping on some modems - fixed.

  • Improved Fix CID. Now PhoneTray tests a modem to find supported CallerID commands.
  • Added a button to change country and area code from the program. You no longer have to open up Control Panel to do that.
  • Implemented proper number formatting for Israel and Brazil.

  • Added capability to zap specific callers without affecting others of the same type.
  • Added button to delete calls from the call list.
  • Added support for non-voice modems. Callers hear nothing if a modem doesn't support voice.
  • Improved modem detection. PhoneTray should support more modems now.
  • Added cooperation mode to support TAPI fax software. PhoneTray can zap incoming calls if it answers before a fax program. Tested with Microsoft Fax and Symantec WinFax.
